FINISHING & EMBELLISHMENTS

We have efficient machinery for folding, creasing, punching, wiro and plastic coil binding, stapling and collating. We have a booklet making machine, which will collate, centre fold and staple up to ten pages in one pass. More pages can be hand collated in.

Thermography printing is an embellishment to printing which gives a raised effect to the print. A powder is sprinkled on to the wet ink and passed under heating elements. This melts the powder which dries as a raised printed area. It is often used in business card, letterhead, and invitation work, and can be used on menu covers and other special print jobs to give them a unique look. We have gold and silver powder, as well as a clear powder which gives thermographic printing in whatever colour ink has been used.

Embossing and debossing. These are two letterpresses processes where the print is pressed out, or in to the paper. It requires male and  female embossing dies, one which presses into the other to give the embossing, with sharp, clean edges.

Die Cutting. Shapes stamped out of card or paper to match a print area or form a box or other special shape. A die cutting forme is required to be made out by specialist manufacturers.

Numbering, scoring and perforating are performed on the platen or offline machinery we have.

Round cornering, hole punching, paper cutting are a few of the extras we offer.
